SPRING 2022- Items We Are Loving

It has been a minute since I have blogged- but spring is here and I am excited to share items and design concepts that are on my radar. Whether already selected for clients, designs under way and some concept Ideas that I don’t have the spot for yet, here are some Edit approved goodies to inspire!

I’m excited to be able to offer my clients a new trade affiliation with The Light House Co! Visit them here: https://www.lighthouseco.ca/ Offering trending but quality pieces they are a great fit for my clients. Currently I am obsessed with the Jayson Coffee Table- offering curves and a geometric flair it is a piece that will be a show stopper. Shop it here: https://www.lighthouseco.ca/products/jayson-coffee-table

Pair it with the Ambrose Rug- avail in a variety of sizes. Shop it here: https://www.lighthouseco.ca/products/ambrose?variant=41962592141499

Black and white florals are in right now. Offering the softness and femininity of flowers but punched up with graphic black and white it’s a look that works for a variety of spaces. I love these pillows off CB2 avail with down or foam inserts. Shop them here: https://www.cb2.ca/23-flora-linen-pillow-with-down-alternative-insert/s434502. There are a variety of wall papers on the market so look for something like the inspo below from ETSY.

I have been working on a lot of exteriors over the winter and I am just loving these Cloplay Modern Glass and Mirrored options from their Modern Steel Collection. More here : https://www.clopaydoor.com/modern-steel-collection

Bold Art-I love graphic/modern art and a great relaxing spot. You can really play with color and scale with abstract art. I know it isn’t everyones cup of tea but the most important thing when selecting a piece is that YOU love it. The simplicity and color always get me thinking with this piece here from Etsy. Add a cozy rug to your favorite seating area, this beauty I just bought for myself and I intend to use it a variety of ways: https://www.crateandbarrel.ca/sheepskin-ivory-42×72-throw-rug/s630199

Window Seats- gone are the rustic farmhouse overly busy designs- sleek, modern and layered with monochromatic or tonal pillows is the way to go! Here they have added organic inspired foot stools to be used as side tables or book rests and the window is flanked by a canvas on one side and a figurine on the left. You don’t have to be super matchy matchy in 2022- just make sure that proportions create balance. The figurine mirrors the window handle and the material pairs with the wood stools. I am hoping to take a version of this to an upcoming renovation- stay tuned!

Lastly I am so glad entertaining season is upon us. I want as many dinners and visits over cocktails as possible after the last few years of minimal connection. This dining room has ALL the inspiration. If you are working with what you already  have-like me- refresh by:

Adding florals. Think statement size/color or quantity. If you have allergies mix and match vases as shown below for a different look.

Lighting. Ensure you have dimmable lighting, candles or invest in a piece you love. Lighting makes ALL the difference

Textiles. Mix and match chairs, add fabric or leather linens if new chairs aren’t in the plan. This goes a long way to setting the tone for a great meal! Add a rug under the table if it moves you!
